The 40th annual Marshall Candlelight Walk will be a guided walking tour of five historic homes decorated for the holiday season.
Participants travel in groups of 25 and a make a circuit of the tour sites. The homeowners and family members will greet the visitors inside the homes.
Each walk begins with a reception at at the First Presbyterian Church, 200 W. Mansion St.. Participants are urged to arrive at check-in at least 30 minutes prior to the scheduled walk time to enjoy the reception and walk to the their first tour house.
Homes on the 2019 tour are those of Terrisa and Dr. Carlos Martinez, 420 W. Mansion St.; Hedi Dadow and Ken Walker, 502 W. Mansion St.; Pam Sigren and Tom Stachnik, 740 Verona Road; Joelle and Wesley Knoch, 604 W. Prospect St., and Sue and John Crapo, 412 N. Kalamazoo Ave.
The tour is held regardless of weather conditions, and tickets are nonrefundable. Participants are urged to wear comfortable shoes. Only 125 tickets will be sold for each of the four walks.
Ticketholders also will have admission to the Honolulu House Museum that will be open 12:00 noon to 8:30 p.m. on the Candelight Walk dates. .
Candlelight Walk proceeds are used to maintain the Marshall Historical Society’s three museums and to support community efforts to preserve and promote Marshall’s heritage.
